This is one of the best animated movies for 2010. It is so perfect especially that I watch it in IMAX 3D. The film has very good fighting scene not to mention they are owls fighting with the shining armors and swords and there is the big metal beak of the head bad owl and the spirit of greatness that is shown by Soren.

The basis of the film is the first three books in a 15-volume series by Katharyn Lasky a children author who have created a myth of a young owl caught up in a battle between the noble Guardian owls and the evil flock of owls known as the Pure Ones.

The story is about the kidnapping of young owls by the Pure Ones to make it as soldiers for their coming invasion of the entire owl kingdom. Kludd and Soren were among the owlets being kidnapped. Though they are brothers both has a very different personality, Soren being the dreamer and Kludd the jealous one. Kludd turn against his brother and chooses to be trained by the Pure Ones while Soren together with a friend escaped to look for the noble Guardians in the island of Ga’Hoole. Meeting some new friends at their way they have reached the island and told the story about the Pure Ones. Director Zack Snyder has never failed his skills in directing fighting scenes as the noble guardians and the evil Pure Ones take into battle. The good Guardians came victorious ending Soren becoming one of them. The film had shown Kludd watching the helmet of the dead leader of the Pure Ones.

The story may not be original but it is very well portrayed. The voices of the owls where fantastic and each has its own accent and you can really say that they are doing it by heart.

The film is good for all family members and it has lots of lesson to be learned. Kids will surely enjoy watching the cute cuddly owls fly and fight and talk.

The movie has a high rating at IMDb.com which is 7.3 and 73% at rottentomatoes.com. My rating for the movie 10 as the highest would be 9.0.
