Camotes Island as we all know hales the best white sand beaches in the province of Cebu. It is a go-to place during summer and even on rainy days. The island has been our adoptive home and we have been visiting this amazing island since 2010. Today, let me share with you the beautiful beaches of Camotes Island and what makes them unique from one another.

Must Visit Beaches in Camotes Island
Read here on how to go to go to Camotes Island
Bakhaw Beach
Location: Esperanza, San Francisco, Camotes Island
Bakhaw Beach is a new favorite of babe and I. The beach is still secluded from tourist. There are few residential houses in the area yet it is still free from commercial activities. Basic facilities include nipa hut cottages and a small convenience store that offers basic supply of food and beverages. Going to the beach you have to pass through a newly mound dirt road with 5.00 php entrance fee.

Bakhaw Beach features a long stretch of white sand and clear blue waters.

The seashore is not shallow unlike Santiago Beach so you can immediately enjoy swimming few meters from the shore.

Tulang Diot
Location: Esperanza, San Francisco, Pajican Island, Camotes
Tulang is an islet divided by the locals into two places; Tulang Diot and Tulang Dako. Tulang Dako is part of mainland San Francisco, while Tulang Diot is an islet of Tulang. Getting to Tulang Diot you have to go to Tulang Dako and ride on an outrigger boat with a fare of 10.00php per person if the boat is full. But if you are alone or you are just a couple then you have to pay for the entire boat which is 100.00php per trip.

The islet has a limited basic amenities including nipa hut cottages, table and chairs for rent, and a small convenience store.

Tulang Diot has a white sand beach that can compete with other beaches in Camotes Island. What makes this little paradise special is it has a sandbar that appears during low tide and submerged during high tide. Perimeter ropes are available to keep the swimmers out from the heavy rip current.

Cawit Beach
Location: Cawit, Pilar, Ponson Island, Camotes
Read Here on How to go to Pilar Camotes
Cawit Beach is located in Pilar the only town of Ponson Island, one of the 3 major islands of Camotes group of islands. Like other beaches in Camotes, it has the distinct long stretch of white sand beach less the crowd.

Water is clear, sparkling blue and very enticing for swimming. The island has resorts yet it is not highly commercially developed. You can read here Pilar Camotes Travel Guide.

Buho Rock Resort
Location: Poro, Camotes Island
A unique beach resort in Camotes is Buho Rock Resort. Unlike the common white sand beach, Buho Rock as its name entails is a coral rock shaped like a small ship docked at a port.

The place is very famous for cliff diving. If you are not faint-hearted then this place is for you. There are two diving spots one is 8ft and the other is 14ft so keep that courage and jump off.

To enjoy more the place and to take a closer look at the deep blue sea and the cliff you have to go down a steep winding stair. A little tiring but rewarding when you watch those people relieving their stress by jumping off the cliff.

Santiago White Beach
Location: Santiago, San Francisco, Camotes Island
Santiago White Beach is the most famous beach in Camotes Island. Its long and wide stretch of white sand beach makes the place lovely. The beach is perfect for families especially with kids because the water is shallow.

Accommodations and restaurants are easy to find in the area. Many resorts in Santiago share the wide white sand beach. Since the local government unit manages this public beach it is free for everyone but cottages are available for rent.

Esperanza Beach
Location: Esperanza, San Francisco, Camotes Island
Esperanza in San Francisco houses many white sand beaches but not all of them are used for resort purposes. Many are still used as a docking place for local fishing boats.

Bakhaw Beach and Tulang are both parts of Esperanza so you know by now that Esperanza has amazing beaches in Camotes Island.

Resorts in Camotes with Amazing Beach
Mangodlong Paradise Resort
Location: Heminsulan, Mangodlong, San Francisco, Camotes Island
Mangodlong Paradise Resort is our little haven in Camotes Island and you can read here why we love the place.

Aside from it being so relaxing it also has a beautiful white sand beach that it’s okay if you will just stay here when on the island.

Mangodlong Rock Resort
Location: Heminsulan, Mangodlong, San Francisco, Camotes Island
A literal neighbor of Mangodlong Paradise Resort, actually just a throw stone away.

Mangodlong Rock Resort is a private cove with spacious white sand beach and a unique coral rock formation perfect for a mini cliff diving.

Hi Natalie, greetings of warmth from the tropical country of the Philippines 🙂
My relatives recently visited Camotes Island. They said it is truly amazing, especially the beaches! We’ll visit here someday, and we’d like to have a tour around the Camotes Islands rather than simply stay in the beach.
