What do you usually do to keep sane from the bustling city life or just to unwind from work? Personally, I go for a hike and connect with nature. Read here last month’s trek adventure, 17km Danao City Trek: Hiking the Highlands of the City of Guns. But if life seems too much to take a good heart-pounding activity that will knock all your stress is a better way. Luckily a place near where I live offers both nature and adrenaline pumping activities that will make you appreciate life even more – Danasan Eco Adventure Park.

What I love about the place is the combination of fear-inducing activity in a calming natural environment. Below are the height and nature activities you can do in Danasan Eco Adventure Park.

Height Adventure in Danasan Eco Park
Challenge yourself with the various height activities in Danasan Adventure Park.
Skydrop
(tried twice) The rate is 500.00 php/person
One of the extreme adventures in Danasan and a must try to everyone visiting. Skydrop will let you experience the feeling of floating in mid-air.
A 120ft freefall with a 230ft swing that will surely erase all your worry and give you that certain pump in your veins.

You will be seated on a safety gear harness, well strap and buckled – slowly mechanically ascend for about 3 minutes and giving you the autonomy to pull the string of freedom.
This is a knee-shaking activity but it will give you the courage to last for a long time. Every after this activity makes me think that I can do anything. This activity can also be done for kids 10 yrs. onward but parental guidance is needed for ages 14 yrs. and below.
Skybike
(tried ones) rate is 380.00 php
Riding a bike is an adventure itself but riding a bike suspended 40ft above the ground then that’s another story.

Pedal your way down on a steel bar cable to the end then more cycling as you go back up to where you started.
Easy pissy right! A total of 180m distance and of course totally safe with complete harness for you and the bike.
Zipline
(tried thrice) Rate is 380.00 php
What is an adventure park without a zipline? A classic adventure that should not be missed.
Feel the fresh air as you zoom your way on a 440m cable, suspended 50ft above ground, and with a break-neck speed of 50km/hour.
A bonus horseback ride will take you back to the clubhouse. This activity can be done for kids depending on height.
Tyrolean Traverse
(tried ones) The rate is 380.00 php
A more physical activity but outside the norm recreation area of Danasan Adventure Park.
This activity is mostly included with the waterfalls exploration and waterfalls rappel.
Tyrolean is traversing between two high points using a cable or rope with your hands and feet.
Exhausting but the view of the waterfalls and the river 50ft below will surely boost your energy.
Twin Tower Adventure
Wall Climbing, High Cable Traverse, and Rappelling (not tried) Rate is 500.00 php
Using the Twin Tower of the Skydrop Adventure, this tri-height adventure will surely take your adrenaline to the next level.
Use your body strength and challenge yourself to climb the 120 ft. tower with stops at 60ft. and 80ft. then walk your way 46m to the other tower and rappel down. Okay for ages 10 onwards with parental consent for ages 14 and below. Will surely try on my next visit.
Rope Course
(not tried) The rate is 380.00 php
I always wanted to try this but never get a chance – well maybe on my next visit.
Together with your companion, test yourself on who will finish the fastest on the 12 obstacle rope course. This activity is perfect for team building and personality development.
Nature Activity in Danasan Eco Adventure Park
The best way to relax after a thrilling and gravity-defying adventure are chill activities that let you connect with nature.
Trek to Danasan Waterfalls
(tried) The rate is 380.00 php
You have an option to ride the 4×4 truck (around 35 minutes 1 way) to the drop-off point then walk for about 15 minutes to the waterfalls or if you have more time walk from the clubhouse to the waterfalls.
Option 1 is mostly recommended and since it is a dirt road the 4×4 truck usually goes slowly giving you more than enough time to enjoy nature and the local community that you will pass by.
Enjoy the river trek and most especially the three waterfalls.
This adventure always goes with the waterfalls rappel and Tyrolean.
Danasan Peak with Danasan Sea of Clouds
(not tried) Free
A good way to start your second day in Dansan Eco Park is an easy 20-minute hike to Danasan Peak to see the sunrise and if you are lucky, witness the amazing sea of clouds.

Definitely on my top list reason to return to Danasan Park.
Horseback Riding
(tried) Rate is 380.00 php
The perfect way to tour around the park is through horseback riding. Trail all over the compound to the lake pathways, clubhouse and up to some hill.
If you feel more adventurous ask the steward that you wanted to go faster and he will guide your horse for a little run. Tip: When you do the zipline there is a horseback ride going back to the clubhouse.
