There are two options when driving your own car to Tabuelan from Metro Cebu. You can either take the shorter route via Transcentral highway or the north Cebu route. You can use Google Maps or waze to help you out reach your destination but here are some landmarks for you.

  • On the north Cebu route, left turn at Lugo in Sugod. The junction has signage and highly visible.

This is very detailed, helpful information! Looks like a beautiful beach.

I would like to go to that beach! I can imagine myself laying down the whole day without moving! It would be a dream! 🙂

The Philippines is on the list for this year and this post will come in very handy if I want to head up to Tabuelan from Cebu. I really like how you’ve marked out the different routes to get up there.

Yet another place in the Philippines which looks lovely! I was in the Philippines 2 months back but did not have a lot of time to explore around. I went to Boracay and Palawan but couldn’t visit Cebu due to lack of time but it’s on my list for the next trip – I know I am going to have a really hard time making my itinerary and picking the places to go. Will bookmark this one for reference when I start working on my itinerary for Cebu.

I’ve never heard of this place, but it sounds like a good destination, and different too! I’d like to see some more photos of the place to get a feel of what the area has to offer. Thanks for sharing the directions!

Thanks for the incredibly detailed guide! How exactly is v-hire different from the bus? They seem to be similar in price range but is v-hire maybe a private shuttle bus line?

The v-hire can accommodate up to 18 people, unlike the bus that is more.
The bus mostly stops every town but the v-hire just go straight to its destination.

Its a very detailed post, anybody who wants to go to Cebu will find this useful and easy to reach. I liked the way how you have explored various options to reach to Cebu.

Thank you, Suman. The goal is to help all traveler to reach Tabuelan from any place possible.

Thanks for sharing these all interesting thing, Frankly, there’s not much to do in Tabuelan. Just swim and enjoy the clear waters. You can also rent a motorcycle or bicycle to roam around town.

Hello. This is updated right? Thanks for the info, big help. But may I ask, what’s the difference between the two bus ride? I mean does the via Tuburan faster? Thank you!

Hi Estrel, yes the information here is up to date as of this comment August 29, 2018. The bus will go first to Tuburan before going to Tabuelan so it would consume more time but there are more bus going via Tuburan than directly to Tabuelan.
